Mistress

Mistress is the term used broadly to describe a female Dominant in a Kink, Fetish, or BDSM relationship or play session. A Mistress can own, control, or can be in a relationship with a sub or slave of any gender or sexuality. A Mistress is served by those she deems worthy of her attention.

A true Mistress is NOT a 'Lady Bizarre', which means she does not have sex with her clients. A Mistress with a 24/7 slave may, however, use that slave for sexual gratification as that person has willingly become her property.

Slave

A slave is a submissive person who gives up their power to a Dominant, otherwise known as a Top/Owner/Mistress or Master.  This is done in a BDSM Total Power Exchange (TPE) relationship. Before judging or making remarks about Fetish or Kink slaves, it would be wise to educate yourself so you have an understanding of the historical and present trauma around slavery, from the trans-Atlantic slave trade to current human trafficking.

Femdom

Femdom, also known as Female Supremacy, is a woman who is totally and always in control of a relationship/play session. A true example of this is that of Matriarch, Ezada Sinn. Female Supremacy is the belief that women are naturally superior to men and that society should be led by powerful women. The majority of people who believe this are part of the BDSM lifestyle. It is the world where a Domina rules. A world where men are slaves and submissive to the commands and instructions of their Mistress.

Spanking

Spanking can form a part of sexual play.  A spanking is usually administered by a Dominant to their submissive/slave and can be done with an open hand or an object such as a paddle or hairbrush, to heighten sexual arousal for one or both parties. Spanking is usually enjoyed by those who find sexual pleasure in receiving pain (masochists).

Face Slapping

Face slapping can be used to humiliate a submissive/slave as well as be a part of sexual interaction between two people. It is usually an act of power by a Dominant over their submissive/slave and is used to emphasize the dominance of a Mistress/Master, whilst humiliating the submissive/slave or publicly putting them in their place. Face slapping is often used by stern 'disciplinarians' to remind their submissives/slaves of who is in control of the relationship or play session.

Face Sitting

Facesitting, also known as 'smothering', is a sexual practice in which a Dominant sits or hovers over their submissives/slaves' faces. Many Dominants will use this to facilitate oral sex or analingus. In the case of a Dominatrix, it can also be used to facilitate 'pussy/cunt' worship.

Confinement

Confinement generally refers to any activity that restricts the movement of another person. In BDSM, this can include cages, bondage gear such as ropes, handcuffs, and other devices of torture. It can also be a room that is used in 'prison play' in which submissives/slaves are locked away in a prison cell. The Dominant in the play session will determine the length of time their submissive/slave should spend in confinement. Confinement is most often used as a disciplinary measure by a Dominant when their submissive/slave has not obeyed an instruction.

Caning

Caning is one of the popular forms of pain or 'impact' play in BDSM. A cane is usually made from a variety of materials including rattan, nylon, leather, metal, wood, bamboo, and fiberglass.  Whatever cane you decide on using, make sure it doesn't splinter. Skin needs to be worked on gradually in order to increase the endorphins that can turn pain into pleasure, so start slowly and gradually build your way up when either giving or receiving a caning.  A cane can and will split the skin.

Abasiophilia

This refers to the attraction to people in neck braces, wheelchairs, casts, or other devices that impair mobility.  It may be part of a medical fetish or enjoyed because it restricts movement. Abasiophilia is a sexual fetish that involves being aroused by people with impaired mobility. People who employ devices like wheelchairs, leg braces, or orthopedic casts are usually the recipients/targets for an abasiophiliac.
